A readable slice of release v1.6.0: five columns out of 24, one row per grade, sorted by family and then by service temperature. The complete table is the CSV in the release - this page exists so you can see the data before downloading it.
Values are as published, not as measured by us. An em dash means the field is empty in every source we have, which is different from a measured zero. Conductivity is quoted at 1 000 °C because that is the temperature most sources report; for insulating grades whose rated limit is below that, the figure is at 400 °C and marked. Read the schema before you lift a number out of this table.

Reading the columns
- Max service, °C - the continuous limit quoted by the source for an oxidising atmosphere unless the record says otherwise. Carbon-bearing grades carry a second, much lower limit for air that lives in
max_service_atmosphereand its note field. - k @1000 °C - thermal conductivity. Three measurement methods appear across the dataset and they do not agree with each other to better than about 15%, so
k_methodtravels with every value. - Bulk density - dry, as fired or as cured. Castables are quoted after the drying schedule in the source, which is why two otherwise identical castables can differ by 0.1 g/cm³.
- Slag index - an ordinal 1 to 5 assigned by this project, where 1 means no useful resistance and 5 means it is routinely used in direct slag contact. It is a reading aid, not a measurement.
- Record - the stable id. Ids are never reused, even after a record is withdrawn.
Filtering properly
This page has no search box on purpose: a static table that pretends to filter in the browser would quietly hide rows and nobody would notice. Query the release files instead.
# every grade usable above 1700 C with conductivity under 3 W/(m K)
$ cinderq filter --min-temp 1700 --where 'k_1000_w_mk<3' --format table
# the full insulating family as CSV, including the empty cells
$ cinderq filter --family insulating --format csv --include-nulls > insulating.csv
Both forms are documented on the tool page, and --explain will print the source id behind each value if you need to chase a number back to its document.
